I used cedar wood from my local area. I gather this wood myself, but I will not destroy a living tree. I only use downed wood for my items. This unique and lovely Rustic Lamp would make a WoW statement in your home, office or cabin. It 16"from the bottom of the wood base to the top of the light bulb socket. The shade is NOT included with the lamp. If you desire the shade, the cost will be $28.00. I have used a 6' electrical cord. All lamp parts have been inspected and are UL approved. Inside of the knot in the wood I have inlayed tiny pieces of genuine Turquoise for good fortune.
